W ho is Bex?
You're correct! You properly phrased your answer in the form of a question. When she's not busy applying to be on Jeopardy!, Bex spends her free time looking at life and watching what's really going on amongst humanity. She then turns around and writes about it. In fact, her column appears weekly at Macon Area Online and here on her website. From stepfamilies, parenting and relationships to gray hair, automobiles, cell phones, and home improvement, no subject is off-limits. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, her stories touch, tantalize and on occasion, tingle. "I just love reading your column every week! Your stories have brought me to tears, made me laugh and then once, made me consider committing myself to an institution. Thank you and keep up the great work!" ~ A fan from Ohio Bex was raised down on the farm in a small town with little pink houses and lots of horses. Today she resides on the other end of the spectrum on the Southside where houses are about six feet apart in any given direction. For fun, she plays golf, goes fishing (usually the ball from the water), gardens, and attempts home improvement projects. With two daughters, three stepchildren, two dogs (Patty O'Furniture and Anna Banana), cat (Tessa Hotpaws), husband and an 80-year-old money pit of a house, she's never short of subject material for her columns and stories. "I told you not to buy that house, that you were going to be sorry and that it would cost you big time! But I love your column. Just don't write about me, okay? Come visit soon, I'm not getting any younger you know." ~ Your Mom Bex is an award winning writer whose work has been published in numerous online and print publications. She is a member of WV Writers, the National Assoc. of Women Writers, the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and is active in a local writer's group in Huntington, WV. She's working on two books, one an anthology for stepfamilies and another about a woman's 18-year-search for her biological father. She's been writing since like forever and constantly fights to overcome the lingo of her youngest pre-teen daughter who like bombards her with like constant overuse of like certain words.
